Huh? What's wrong with a holster for a phone? Especially when you're talking to a lot of geeks and nerds who don't give a rat's ass about form over function? I don't get it.
Yes, I believe it is. But please do not try to install it. Seriously.

Unless you've paid your cash and registered with the Apple Developer Connection (a long process, can take several hours if your name/billing info isn't a precise match), it will brick your phone.

It calls the mothership to verify that your phone with your serial number is registered as a test unit on your account. And you can not downgrade (well you can but it's a pain in the neck and isn't straight forward).

So if you want it that badly, pay your $99 and do it right. Or wait until the final release.
Hopefully this build will fix the issue, but for any other developers out there who've not figure this out, the BIGGEST secret to a stable 3.0 device is this:

Always restart the unit after syncing with iTunes.

If you do that, it's almost as stable as 2.x was.
I would love to have that unit :)
Nope, Buff... just that disappointed.
Microsoft EXCLUSIVE?! Gross.

I understand trying to monetize the thing, but make us wait forever, only to announce this? Really? I'm a sad panda. I will be sad not to see where the show goes, but selling your soul to Microsoft isn't the answer. And to those who don't like the negative feedback like this, I'm entitled to my opinion.

Bye Felicia and crew. Best of luck, I will not be following. Next season I hope to see you with a new, less revolting partnership.

They still never fixed the stupid continuous play bug which plays podcasts newest to oldest, which is just awful when listening to series podcasts, etc. :( Podcasts should be one serving... when it's done playing an episode I want it to STOP.
They never specifically said it didn't have a Marguerita mixer in it either, but I doubt I'll be blendin' drinks with it later. ;)
Bravo, Gateway... you got the style memo... finally! This is a really attractive machine and your designers have done well. Not a knock off of anybody else's work (no, I'm not just talking that company from Cupertino, either) and has great lines. Way to go. :)
As an actual proud owner of an iPod touch, I have to say that I'm completely pleased with the display on this device. It's more than adequate and images look crisp and beautiful. I have no such complaints. I've had mine since yesterday.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
