I agree with playdrv4me. Most of the dealers are already sold out and there is a waiting list, especially for the 135i. Remember, European Delivery is available for the 1-series but it comes out of the dealer allocation so not many will sell them below MSRP. When BMW will let the dealers sell the 1-series from the ED allocation, then the sales will increase tremendously.
The taillights are definitely coming from the 3-series. I am still amazed that the some of manufacturers can not be innovative and they resume at stealing elements from the competitors.
I also think that the James Bond movies has brought a lot of marketing value to the BMW brand, especially to the Z3 and Z8 models. I remember seeing the Z8 in the movie and I was just simply blown away. As soon as one of the dealers had one in display, I went to see it
Actually, I was the first one to report this article :) I asked the user from e90post to take some pics and post a review. If you wanna read more and some suggestions and fixes, go to http://edbmw.com/blog/2007/06/29/bmw-3-series-and-iphone-compatibility-user-report
the iPhone works perfectly with the BMW iDrive system. Full functionality. You can also listen to your music and when a call comes in, the sound fades out and you can answer your call.

:) I expected this time of answer because I hear it all the time. So, first of all, it is kinda hard to drive and type on the iPhone without having a physical keyboard, so I was refering mostly to the situation where you're stationary or....you have someone in the passenger seat that needs to check on things on the iPhone. Being part of the BMW industry for a while, I know better not to drive and type, therefore I have always used a bluetooth headset or had my phone paired with my car.

Anyway, bottom line is that EDGE is not the way to go in this case(except having a better battery life)
Ok, let's see how lucky I am. I can't wait to try it out.
What's news is the fact that the iPhone works with the 6FL IPOD option and with the bluetooth together, so basically it should switch to phone when a sending or receiving a call. Now that's great
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
