The problem with revolutionary discoveries in electronics is that, in the last 30 years, they have been coming along so often that we never notice them. We just expect for devices to be faster, and don't really care that we have broken the 50nm barrier or that lithography is reaching it's boiling point.
Where do you come up with your material? It's hilarious!
I have gone through 8 pairs of shures. I run and lift with them, and after 3-4 months a pair gives out. I have several pairs and get them replaced pretty often. The sound quality is awesome, but I have yet to have a pair that has lasted more than 6 months of use.
This would be amazing.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
