The funny thing is Nokia beats Google even though they don't even really target the US market. Just imagine if they tried.

I think a lot of people here forget that you're not going to get an netbook or laptop for a 6 year old to start to learn typing, math, spelling, etc... Basically this is a good alternative to vtech and like products

You do understand that maemo has been around since 2005 in the Nokia 770 and the N800 prior to the iPhone. It's been an evolution and in the end I expect maemo to be a lot deeper than the iPhone or Android.
TV out, FM transmitter/receiver, infrared transmitter, UPnP client and standard Linux distribution to name a few.
Guess who owns NAVTEQ - Nokia. It just a giant wheel going around-and-around.
There are a lot of phones better than the iPhone for certain purposes, it depends on your specific needs.
In a way this is bad news for Sony since it will make streaming more popular. As streaming gets more popular physical media get's less (i.e. blu-ray). Microsoft has basically forced Sony's hand in this.
They took in 14 bil in revenue not profit (big difference). Order makes a difference.

The difference with N900 is you'll be able to other things while watching (i.e. IM, email, surf, etc...). And there as been a HAVA client for N8XX for well over a year and it was free (for the software).
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
