Still hanging on to my 4th gen iPod till the touch gets more than 40gb in storage. Looks like I'm still waiting. Maybe I should just get a Classic?
Gee, he seemed like such a thoughtful, well-grounded individual....
This is exactly my plan also.
I picked up an HD-DVD player for $90 and use NetFlix to get my movies. Once the titles dry up it will still work as an upscaling DVD player so it was worth it to get my HD fix until the format war settled.

However I am not buying HD titles until the remaining studios move over and I can pick up a cheap player that works with all versions of the Blu-Ray format.

Seriously, there are those of us out here using Vista with no trouble. No question it was a rocky start and I sure would not recommend running it on old hardware, but my experience has been positive over the last six months.
My favorite game is Half Life 2.
Damn. That reminds me of the belt buckle from the first Star Trek movie. Yes, I am that old!
I am looking forward to being the first person to successfully butt-dial with my shiny new iPhone.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
