i've been a beta tester of the device for a few weeks... i've used the bodybugg, and Omron pedometers and others (from $10-$300)

This is a great middle of the road device, the algorythms are great and pretty acurate. The best things about it are:
The community, they care about user feedback and are constantly making changes.
The size of the device (with built in clip). not only is it small but it can track movement when clipped at a lot of different places and different angles, many devices must be oriented a certain way, and a certain location and are often the size of a cellphone or small pager/beeper.

I could go on and on, the truth is if you don't care about how much your moving around, walking, and generally active - don't get the device... for everyone else I would/have chosen this over the competition

Check out the competition (bodybugg, gowearfit, omron, biotrainer, muve, nike plus, fitpod) and you'll realize why this is different.
But does it include the RRD for free... or is that an extra charge...

ps3 ftw
Infamous. make sure you grab a few blu-ray movies (i.e. 300)
I wonder how many of the apps will be new or revised and how many will be the same apps sold outside of the Windows Market place already available.
is this only for the iPhone... what about the Apple Touch?
As a Dj for over 10 years i've had my eye on this thing... not so much to dj gigs... my technics and SSL take care of that... but to use instead of the Ipod/touch... for down time i can get down on the virtual ones and two's... or even if i show up to a party and there is no music i could get down...

I think like Eric says... it will be a generation or two to work a few things out... and bring the price way down... atleast to about $200 (wishful thinking).

I have yet to see any real hiphop dj's handle this thing yet (i understand it more as a house/trance gadget).
my GF had the O.G. version of this and she LOVED it... she's very upset that only verizon carries it... even though it is very ugly, it works very well (aka it does what it's supposed to, great battery life, phone call reception, great qwerty for texting, and none of the extra smartphone stuff).

worked well for her.
Would have been awesome if he was playing tap tap revolution!

no touchscreen, i think this one is another fail.
Sign me up! looks like a micro mini-van. When is it headed to the US.
it's always the people that get burned that are the most vocal... I've had netflix for a few years now and every once in a while i get a DVD that skips here and there, it's annoying but a part of life with used DVD/blu-ray that are shipped through the mail.

I've had the blu-ray thing for a few weeks now and i LOVE it, have had no problems with scratched and/or cracked blu-rays...

i think if you have a lot of problems, or don't like paying extra for a better product (blu-ray) then go and by your blu-rays, or get a blockbuster membership (in my experience is far worse and more expensive)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
