" Remember that Cameron created the visual concept of "Aliens" - a being completely unlike humans in appearance and behavior - in his "Aliens" movie (ironic) and "The Abyss" "

Can you clarify this point?

I'm not sure what you mean by Cameron created the visual concept of "Aliens".

Cause he didn't.

I would have liked to see some Almodovar love up there.

Talk to Her.
Todd,

I should apologize to you hombre.

I just happened to read the article at a rough point in the day and got irritated.

Having read your review again my gut feeling is your assessment is probably spot on even if i wish it weren't. I've been wanting to see something in the spirit of Close Encounters with a less benevolent approach to extraterrestrials and I was really hoping this might sate my desire.

I tend to like your reviews for the most part. Take care and thanks for being so gracious.
"In which case, The Fourth Kind is itself a little bit like a UFO sighting: you're not quite sure what you saw when it was happening, and it was momentarily exciting to experience, but if you really think about it, it's pretty ridiculous, and especially disappointing in retrospect."

This smug line kind of makes me wish Aliens are real.

Regardless of whether alien abductions actually occur there is a large segment of the population that does believe it is happening to them. They suffer emotionally and physically because of it but way to dismiss those experiences as "ridiculous".

Everyone's entitled to an opinion though.
That New York is still alive and well.

It's just in today's day and age the people who grew up with it don't get to make movies.
I've been wanting to step into the next generation for years! Help me Engadget!
Not that i think that's an excuse.

If that is the reason then the writers should come up with a story that works better within the constraints of their budget. The show might be engaging to a wider audience that way.
I think in the case of Heroes it probably has more to do with the fact that they have to work with a limited budget. TV rarely gets the money a feature film does and must skimp out on some of the cooler things the writers come up with.
Does anyone know why it's named Merchants of Brooklyn?

The title has me scratching my head.
I'm flying Virgin America Thursday.

I wish there was a way to find out if there will be wifi available on the flight before i get in there.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
