FML. Activation servers are down AND my Xbox 360 Elite gets the Red Ring of Death in the same day AND the website to set up a repair with Microsoft is currently "undergoing system maintenance and upgrades" so I can't set that up either. WTF.
I too noticed the Slusho reference. But it does predate Cloverfield. Wikipedia can enlighten you.
How many times does it have to be said? If you don't like the article, don't click the article. Stupid F-ing turd of a troll.
@Hamidxa

I think Engadget themselves can best field your SERO comments. "A common battle cry in the carrier war heard in recent years has been "yeah, but those plans all suck compared to Sprint SERO." A little too common, in fact....."

@Michael

Had a long day or something? My rant was pretty simple. People who click on iPhone articles and bitch about them are tools. And yeah, kinda did sound like you were accuse-agreeing in a very odd way. But good to have you on the bandwagon. If you didn't understand the "blanketed rant", go Youtube "Leave Britney Alone" and you will be enlightened.
And there was much rejoicing. Installed, updated, no issues. Backup times reduced, lagging apps are unlagified. Also fixed a nasty issue where my apps kept trying to sync to the iPhone even though they were already on the iPhone. Course that could have been the update to iTunes 7.7.1 as well but either way, I'm happy.
I believe I already posted the answer to your question here: http://www.engadget.com/2008/08/04/iphone-2-0-1-now-available-through-itunes/comments/13528397/

And by the way, Sprint sucks.
O..M...F...G....

IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE iPHONE THE STOP F***ING CLICKING THE DAMN ARTICLES AND READING THEM YOU STOOPID TOOL!

Nobody cares how much you hate iPhone articles. No one values or listens to your opinion and we (the collective iPhone interested community) wish you would go and jump off of a cliff and land in a massive pit filled with Sidekicks and maybe that would be more your speed.

*places a yellow blanket over his head* Leave the iPhone alone! All you people care about is more more more more more! Don't you understand the iPhone's had a really hard time with it's crashed activation servers and it's laggy firmware and people jailbreaking it all the time! LEAVE IT ALONE! I MEAN IT! Leave the iPhone alone or you'll have to deal with ME! (end blatant impersonation).

Why do you stupid trolls click on the articles if you're just going to say how dumb it is? Honestly, do you just have nothing better to do?
I'm pretty sure Netshare was pulled from the App Store because tethering with the iPhone was a violation of the AT&T Contract.
I would have fewer people click on iPhone articles only to bitch about having to read iPhone articles.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
