It is pretty simple: mod your system and run the risk of being booted. Everyone that owns an Xbox that has even a modicum of intelligence should know that this is the risk you take if you mod your system.
I used Red2Blu.com to exchange some of my HD DVDs for Blu-Ray discs. That was a good deal. $4.95 plus shipping to exchange them. Once I got the notice that they received my HD-DVD artwork, I received my movies in less than a week. They even sent me the Ultimate Matrix Trilogy box set on Blu-Ray when I only had the Complete Matrix set on HD-DVD. The price difference new was about $50 or so. This does not seem to be nearly as good of a deal.
You people are being very short sighted. I'm in my browser probably 95% of my day. Eventually, I will really lose the need to have a full fledged computer at all. Just let me get on the net and get to work. The only question I have is they talk about music and stuff like that on the internet. Where am I going to store my ~70 gigs of music? Surely internet speeds aren't fast enough to allow me to upload all of that to a server at Google. I guess we'll see in a couple of years.
Man this game is going to rule, and that is all there is to it.
It isn't just the iPhone. After upgrading to Apple TV 2.0, it started taking literally a whole day to sync a movie from my computer. It also took 10+ hrs to download a movie. I finally just did a factory restore once they let out the latest firmware (I think it is 2.1...). I have noticed a huge difference since doing that. I downloaded an HD movie the other night and it said it was ready to play in about 10 minutes. Hopefully they are getting their act together because all these problems are truly annoying.
Been there, done that. I got some sweet swag from the company store. I have the Apple branded water bottle sitting next to me on the coffee table. I also got a keychain and a shirt that says "I visited the Mothership".

Bill,
Thanks for all you've done over the years. Computing simply wouldn't be the same without you. Hopefully, you can say that about the rest of the world in a few years. Highest regards,
Michael Bushnell
I checked and I do not see any movies for purchase in HD. For instance, I am Legend is available for rent in standard for $3.99, rent in HD for $4.99, or purchase for $14.99. I'm assuming the purchase is just standard def.
I'm an ardent Apple fan, but I think this looks pretty neat. This is the exact opposite in terms of awesomeness of that Fujitsu all in one that was featured earlier.
I guess most of you all are too young to remember Plus 95 and 98. This is the same kind of crap they've done before. Wow, back then you got Golf 98, Mcafee virus scan, "deluxe" cd player, some stupid marble game, and a few desktop themes. Anyone else seeing a pattern here?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
