Jan 17th 2008 8:03PM Another thing ... Why is the Apple TV a 'subscription' device and the touch is not? Up until Tuesday, you couldn't even spend any money using the Apple TV if you wanted to, it was just an iPod with video output. On the other hand, the touch has had the ability to purchase songs over wifi since the day it came out...

Jan 17th 2008 7:49PM If you purchased a PC with XP in the few months before Vista came out (or a Mac with Tiger (a?) month before Leopard came out), the upgrade was free. If I had bought an iPod touch a year ago, this wouldn't be such a big deal, but two weeks ago is a pretty recent purchase to be unsupported.

Jan 15th 2008 4:11PM Look again, the model that comes with the SSD standard also includes the 1.8Ghz processor. Building the 1.6Ghz model with the SSD is a few hundred cheaper - the SSD is only $999 upgrade.
