Because many of us could care less about equipment manager but do want a new raid.
"It will be ongoing for further investigation by Blizzard Entertainment's employees."

Hint - if the email contains sentences that aren't actually ENGLISH... you might want to consider that it's fake.
I think there's a couple of things going on (though I can't speak for BRK specifically)

1) There's not much endgame right now. If you dinged 80 in the first month or so of LK you can easily have seen all of the raiding content.

2) There's little reason to grind rep unless you're interested in achievements etc.

it's odd that in an expansion that wanted to cast a wider net at endgame I know more and more people who are bored with WoW right now. Most of that is the lack of endgame content - Naxx is easy, Malygos is a bit harder but perfectly doable. 3D Sarth isn't really new content... In TBC if you'd cleared Kara by now you'd be killing Gruul, then moving on to SSC and TK. There was plenty of raid content for people at release and very very few were tapping their feet waiting for BT because they'd cleared everything else and it was on farm.

TLDR? When there's nothing new in endgame and you have other things you can enjoy... why WoW?
No. It's not worth it. If you want to raid and they guild you're in doesn't care you have a mismatch. That doesn't mean they're bad people, but their interests in the game are not yours. My mid-range guild can clear Arachnid in under 30 mins (20 occasionally). We raid 2x a week and while most of the players are good most of us are not uber hardcore etc. Spending 4 hours in there is incompetence.

Ultimately you play to have fun. A guild is there to make the game more fun. If it's not doing that and it's not moving in that direction, leave.
^^ this. The choice between making everything look the same and use the same model and having a clown suit is a false choice. You can introduce some variation but not have wildly mis-matched things.

And to all of the complainers above.. bite me. People discuss the game and it's not always all "Blizzard is great" simply because no one is great in every aspect of everything. If you mistake that for whining... look in the mirror
faar... and the reason you're able to get to KT, Saph or Malygos is.. ? right. The people who showed up and learned the fights that get you that far. Pure rolls leads to people sitting out raids until their on farm, swooping in and rolling for great gear without having helped in the least to get the team there.

Want gear? Raid consistently.
We use this... I like it, it's fair and there's an ingame addon so you can see where you stand at anytime.
Tailoring and other epics are not part of the tier progression. Like you, I used other epics that were often as good as the T[N] stuff, but these are outside of the Tier line
AND....

mechanics aren't changing. Yep, once you learn not to stand in crap on the floor, the other "boss puts crap on the floor" encounters are easy. So come up with new mechanics! The orbs in OK, Sarth and UK are somewhat like that.

However, any mechanic will be learned. That's not the only thing that makes Wrath easy. It's that there's no need for more than the cor abilities of your class. CC? Pfftt... no once CCs anymore. Mages sheeped in TBC, Rogues sapped, hunters trapped. Now? No one cares about that because it's not needed. Tanks can all generate great AoE threat. DPS all has an AoE attack. Healers can keep any reasonable tank up if they're just decent. You simply don't need secondary class skills anymore. It's mostly "go in, grab stuff, AoE, rinse repeat."
The problem is that the insane burst means you basically had an I Win button though and nice as that might have felt, no class should have that. But what I don't understand is that pallies were like this in week 1 of beta. I get that there was some other stuff that they needed to rule out first but I'm surprised that they weren't also saying internally "Ok, we can't let them have that level of burst dps... but they don't have other stuff and if we take burst away they're screwed... so what do we give them?"

Of course the issue is... what fits with being a pally and it's just a clone of Blink, Shadowstep or Death Grip? But then... that's what THEY should figure out.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
