Aug 30th 2008 7:38PM No. And there's the problem - do people gear assuming they have a spriest with Misery? Or do they assume not to be safe (since we're not needed for mana regen anymore)? If the latter, I'll not spec into it. In fact I think it's fair to say I'll NEVER spec into it unless the hit cap for other casters is so high that they can't possible cap out. If that's the case it might be a useful talent. But only in those cases. If casters can cap out then I'm going to assume they will and use the points elsewhere.

Aug 25th 2008 4:47PM It's not just that it's beta. Death Knights SHOULD be OP in Outland. Think about it - you've been a fear servant of the Lich King... and you should have issues killing boars in Hellfire? I think not...
Whether they should be OP in Northrend is another issue... and as others note above, there are currently classes that can take on many mobs and survive just fine.

Aug 19th 2008 5:24PM And exactly the kind of thing they want to eliminate - downranking has all kinds of side-effects that mess with game mechanics (you can flush out a stealther but pay virtually no cost for doing so). The elimination of downranking lets blizz create spells for those functions that they feel are legit but gets rid of cheap stuff like rank 1 frost nova etc. Want to flush out stealthers with a Frost Nova or Consecrate? Fine... spend the mana.

1) The killing of Malygos' consort happens in Coldarra near the Nexus, not in Dragonblight at Wyrmrest. So Alexstraza isn't involved. Note that you do end up torturing a captured NPC at Amber Ledge (Borean Tundar) as part of another series of quests. We are NOT nice people in Northrend.

The Blizzcon vs WWI comparison is irrelevant. Compare Blizzcon to the traffic of, say, a Paul McCartney concert or last year when all the tweener girls in the US wanted Hannah Montana tickets - those kind of events are insane, they appeal to FAR more than the 10m people who play WoW and they're repeated over and over as tickets for concerts in each city go on sale. Heck most of the time tickets for multiple cities go on sale They've sold 10s of thousands of tickets in an hour for concerts etc. Also, remember that much of the Blizzard.com traffic was people trying repeatedly to get tickets and thus refreshing the page. If the transaction had gone through the first time, that spike would be MUCH smaller.
*Might* they fail? Sure. But it's FAR more likely that they will not. And if the alternative is a halfassed inhouse effort, Ticketmaster or some other professional outsourcing agency....
