The video output is not horrible, it's only as good as the content you feed it. I am watching 720p 24fps on a 120hz television right now and I say it's 99.3% as good as the hd-dvd it came from. DVDs are indistinguishable from source material.

One library feeding my entire home theater network (three appletvs on three different floors) ... 800 movies (100 at 720p) on demand and growing.
the best buy in reston, va looked exactly like this two weeks ago.
WAIT A MINUTE.
He was sharing over 4000 files, which over 2000 were audio recordings but ONLY 54 were copyrighted?

That I can't believe.

I wonder what criteria the RIAA used to find the 54?!? I bet there was alot more then that and we would all agree to that. And by MORE I mean songs that shouldn't be shared ona file sharing system because someone else owns the right to distribute and you don't.

I doubt he had 1944 files of birds chirping he took himself.
If I use my upstairs 360 (the one that has the purchased content under my girlfriend's ID) with my profile being on a memory card... the downloaded games crash HARD. The first time it happened I thought my machine was going out (since the machine locks) or that my account was fried... of course checking on the website it showed no record of my account (since they were having issues!)

The whole idea about accounts and locking content to accounts is stupid as crap to me. Esp. with two 360s in the house. I don't want to balance points, save games and characters like a full time sysadmin! I just want to turn on my machine and play a game!
The problem with wireless is reliable bandwidth. I currently use two appleTVs and had to wire one, intermittent problems with the one upstairs (Where my laptops also have problems). I just can't get a reliable wireless network going even with repeaters and meses because of the proximity of so many other wireless devices in the same spectrum. I would go fully wired except for my laptops if I could.
i just got two watches i really need a third to match my eink ebook
just got a tag. this is cool like my ereader
I just want to win so I HONESTLY can give it to my friend. for his kids. really.
Chris Taylor, I think my comment got posted wrong. I was responding to Jamma who couldn't see why anyone would want one over a book since apparently we only read one book once in a blue moon according to him then never touch it again.

The Sony Ebook doesn't require submission and outside of a crappy proprietary format (to best function with font zooming etc) it will read drop and drag rtf pdf and txt.

What kills me is that NO bookstore outside of Sony Connect supports the drm'd format my thing reads. So if Sony Connect doesn't sell it I am out of luck. And there are tons of people I want to read but aren't on that book store. If this new Kindle thing reads the books I want I might have to buy it for that reason.

Sort'a like why I have a PS3 and a Xbox 360 or why I have an iPod for Itunes Store. People who make the exclusive content AND the hardware at the sametime have you at their mercy.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
