The Vostro is nice, but if you are looking for the best 13 you should step up to the Adamo 13. Much better fit and finish.
@fdasfdsafdsa The Dell Adamo feels even better.
@Anthoni I like the Envy's touchpad, and love the 18 hour battery slice. My complaint is the crap that comes preloaded from HP. I also wish the keyboard was backlit.
The best general use 13 inch laptop I have ever owned is the Dell Adamo 13. Great looks, good performance, illuminated keyboard, georgous screen, and resonable battery life. Highly recconmend. Runner up is hte HP Envy 13, followed by the Lenovo x301.
Have these guys EVER given a positive review to a non Apple machine?
I love the new site. Thanks for your hard work.
Nice...can't wait to order mine. :-)
The Coast Guard actually falls under the jurisdiction of the Dept of Homeland Security not the Department of Defense.
Sounds like this is ripping the movies to your harddrive, which would be of great value to me. No more scratched discs from my five year old!!!!
Just ordered :-)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
