I knew a guy who traded in a Porsche Cayman and a Mini Cooper for two Toyota Prii.

He's been looking into making them plug-in compatible for a while.
I'd never realized how much of a front overhang the Gallardo has.

Umm, I'm sorry, but I didn't read a bad word about the Phaeton above.. that it was poorly marketed and perhaps inappropriately branded? Those aren't bad words about the car, just how it was handled.

Saying it's the same as calling the car terrible is akin to saying the Pontiac GTO (2004-2006) and G8 are terrible cars because they didn't sell well.
I've been saying the same thing all along. To hell with the past, call it an M1 but M8 is kind of a dumb name for a BMW supercar.

From what I heard, was that BMW was going to change up its naming sequence to be odd numbered series were sedans, and the even numbered series were the coupes based on the preceding odd numbers' platform. Hence the 3-, 5-, and 7-series would be sedans, the 6-series was a 5-series based coupe, and the 3-series coupe would've technically been a 4-series. I understood this went to hell because BMW thought the 3-series name had too much cache and therefore called it 3-series coupe and called it a day.

If this naming convention would've persisted, the current 1-series would have been the 2-series, and they wouldn't have a problem right now.

The best part of this "might be true, might not be" story is the irony. BMW sacrificed logic and a working convention for the sake of name recognition, and in doing so, they've created another problem for the sake of name recognition.

Obviously if BMW had done away with their nostalgic reasoning, they'd have been clear of both of these issues.
I thought Scion has that whole fixed price thing so you can never over- or underpay. Just pay the price and ta-da.
While I agree about the slimmer than none chance of this coming stateside, it's not because of the name. Honestly, did you guys even consider the possibility of renaming a car in different markets? Turns out it ain't a new idea.
I was kind of wondering the same myself. Cute song regardless.
I think it was kinda foul that he got number one. I mean, they specifically brought him back to beat Simon Cowell, and I believe the rules for the board are the final lap is the time which counts, but to make Jay Kay the leader they took his fastest, not his last lap. And if they'd waited, Simon would've gotten taken off anyway, by McCloud and Johnson. McCloud was even in the same season as Jay Kay, if I recall correctly.
I had to read the title and then the article a few times to catch that it said STR8 and not SRT8. I think I go on autoblog a bit too much.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
