Dell's 15.4-inch XPS M1530 multimedia powerhouse available on-line -- starts at $999 {Engadget}

Nov 27th 2007 10:48AM I've been using the 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GT in my Dell Vostro to play the hell out of Team Fortress 2. Granted, even at high settings TF2 isn't super intensive, but the card handles it very well regardless.

Nov 14th 2007 3:35PM Aren't companies required by law to provide a toll free way to enter sweepstakes programs?

From the rules:
"NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING."

I don't see anything on their site about how to enter without making a purchase, though.

The new Zune: better than before, but not quite good enough {Engadget}

Nov 13th 2007 3:28PM Perhaps they come off a little harsh on the new Zune not because they dislike the idea of a competing product to the iPod, but because they had such high hopes for it that just weren't met. It seems the complaining isn't that it's not as good as an iPod, but that it isn't better. Why settle for average?

Zune going easy on the launch, heavy on the ads {Engadget}

Nov 13th 2007 2:12PM Yeah, it would be nice if I could buy it in a store. I went to the Zune.net site and all of the retailers it lists for the Zune80 are backordered 2 to 4 weeks, except for Circuit City. There are two stores out of ten in the Houston area that have one in stock.

Maybe Microsoft should have spent more on shipping to actually get the Zunes out by their launch date.
