my hairy cat pascal wouldn't enjoy the robot at all, but i'd enjoy it picking up all the hair he sheds.
If you've seen the iPhone in action, like at macworld in january, then you already know that this device is going to make waves and sell millions. People seem to forget how clunky their current phones are. This device is at least four years ahead of other phone companies interfaces and works like a dream rather than a struggle. The form factor is impressive as well. Who cares if it's not bleeding edge. This is their first phone and some of those features could likely be enabled in software upgrades. I am a bit woried how much control the Record Indutstry and ATT will have over Apple though. Anyway, it's hard to be mad at Dvorak since this is his only way to make money. It's sad, but I guess it works for him.
uh oh, fan boys with charts!
The video doesn't "prove" anything other than the author's gullability. The people that made this video made it as a joke, and only a fool would publish it thinkning it was real.
Rob: As of this weekend, I hadn't seen any stores in SF have even a wii kiosk. Please tell me if I'm wrong!
I was confused by the title. How is this machine 'for designers?' What kind of designers? Microsoft Word designers?

If that atrocity of a case is what makes it for designers, than you may have just insulted the design community.
Thankfully at least some company is out there talking to airlines to come up with some standards for gadget power on flights. Seriously this is a great thing and something that honestly would never happen in the PC world.

Oh yeah, iPod integration is really nasty, Engadget. What a poor job Apple has done with their design and ease of use. Just wait for the really bang up job MS will never do.
Thanks for trying Microsoft. You had all these years to catch up and this is the best you could do? Where is real competition to iPod?
of course it's in there (like the other macs), and no the spec for 'n' still isn't done so don't expect much until then. iTV should hit before the standard.. that will be interesting if they open up the chips for iTV only.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
