Really, that is your evidence? You searched engadget? Because we all know that engadget is the place to go if you want to know abut cell phone outages as they happen. I did the same thing, and you're right, they only have posts on AT&T, Blackberry and XM radio outages. So that must mean that Verizon has had no outages, right? WRONG!

I'm starting to wonder if engadget is biased. They have only mentioned ATT outages in the past 2 years, while we know that all cell networks have had an outage or two. Just 3 weeks ago, Verizon had a 4-5 hour outage in eastern Pennsylvania/New Jersey where 19 towers were down. I also remember reading a story this summer where Sprint had an outage in L.A. Wonder why those outages were never "reported" on engadget?
@AndroidRokz
You mean "That's why I have Verizon." The Droid is nothing more than a phone.
Just because the ad is making headlines does not mean that it is effective, unless their goal was to simply make the headlines. They are trying to sell phones here. Producing an ad that "everyone is talking about" isn't effective when most people don't even remember what was being advertised. Only 21% of the sample group said that the ad was extremely effective. This type of campaign is a poor choice for a relatively new product. If everyone was already aware of the Pre, this strategy might make a little more sense. Until then, they should stick to demonstrative commercials that highlight all of the things that the Pre can do, like the iPhone commercials.
Maybe you're thinking of the iPhone 3G?
Never really liked Verizon either, but they do have the largest number of customers and the most ubiquitous network in the US. The Pre would have sold much better had it been released on Verizon first.
At least you won't have to wait in line to get one of these or the Diamond. However, I can't really see any other advantages.
I'm sure people will be lined up for blocks......

for the new iPhone that is.
I certainly wouldn't call the iPhone a cow. I'm sure the Diamond will be a very nice phone, but I highly doubt that it will be as easy to use as the iPhone. Just have to wait and see. Also, my old Motorola L6 was much slimmer and smaller overall than my iPhone, plus it did instant messaging and email, and games, but........... do I even need to go any further?
Alan, lol.

It's funny how you see those kinds of comments on every mac post, but it is actually much more relevant here.

Man, PCs are so expensive......... I could configure a Mac Pro that would blow this thing out of the water. And, yes, it can play Crysis :)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
