Jun 19th 2009 7:03PM And what does that make you then, marc? Since you're on an gadget blog fanatically defending Apple at 9 in the morning?

Jun 19th 2009 7:00PM "A perfect example is the N97. I'm not sure who cares about a 'smartphone' that does not offer the robust richness of established media content delivery and 50,000+ apps, but it's not me"

It's just as well that there actually are thousands of apps available for Symbian then. Or there's Nokia Tunes? Or the fact that it syncs with iTunes?

Oh you also didn't know you aren't limited to just one store? You must feel pretty fucking stupid now then.

Nokia outsell Apple everywhere else other than the US for a reason. It's not my fault you're too stupid to understand what it is.

Jun 19th 2009 2:24PM Oh dear, this is why Americans shouldn't report on the European cell market.

As has been said, very few people will buy it from a Nokia store as the vast majority will get theirs from a carrier's shop, CPW, Phones4u or the like. For example Vodafone are offering it for free on a £40 pm contract as are Orange.

The iPhone on the other hand is available from Apple stores, O2 and CPW. In addition the Apple store will hook you up with your O2 contract on the spot.

Different markets, people. If you don't understand the differences don't write about them.

Jun 19th 2009 2:18PM Hey Donald, here's an idea: Why don't you post the specific circumstances in which MS will allow a downgrade to XP, the rationale behind it and what the target demographic is?

Hmm?

Oh wait, that wouldn't give you the usual knee jerk responses from the clueless muppet crowd, would it?
