The weapons are miniaturized ala transformers all spark. Snake in this one is 87 and a 1/2 yrs old so he can't move like he used to.
I played through the ps2 version also and it a very fun game. But this updated version doesn't seem to be enough of a reason for me to play it again. But if you never played it b4, its definitely worth playing.
The 360 currently doesn't need the extra space a bigger disc capacity gives. Since obviously you own PS3s have you ever seen a game on there that had more content that its 360 counterpart?

I returned Halo 3 to get COD4. To me after the story was finished and 30 or so online games was played, I found it to be boring and just like Halo 2.

Actually it makes a lot of sense. They dont want to completely stop AMD, if they do the they can be brought up on monopoly talks. Businesses needs competition even if it is no contest who is better.
