Sep 11th 2008 2:11PM Meh, I for one am glad Greenpeace exists. The worst they do is complain and peaceful trespassing. The best they do is raise real awareness on issues, and lo and behold, in cases like this one it works.
BTW, this new fading look for comments that are low ranked is fucking with my eyesight. I thought my monitor was going dim or something. Collapse is better than fade.

Sep 10th 2008 3:45PM I hate to go off topic, but I have such a disdain for non-GSM phones. I think the only reason they still exist is because all the tech savvy Californians are caught up on Verizon. If they'd ditch that and go with a GSM carrier we could all advance in unison. Apple is thankfully leading the way to the right track (never thought I'd say that).

Apr 22nd 2008 3:47PM This kind of reminds me of an idea I had, involving a carputer. This would really only work if everyone had the software but...
Imagine a GPS that you could hit a button when you spot a police officer and it sends it via internet to other GPSs. Then when you're driving you see on your GPS where other people marked police, and how long ago they were spotted (maybe symbolized by a fading color).
