I hope they don't overlook one giant feature.
Speaker-independent Bluetooth-headset-initiated voice-dialing.
Please Santa!
I would be all over the Pre like
stereotypical-characteristic-on-a-something if it had this.
WXGA? Boost that to 1600x960 and you'll have something.
I want to use a jewelers loupe to read my text.
Mo pixels = mo better.
Seriously, I love high DPI but I have great vision.
No one around me can ever read my teeny 7-pixel bitmap fonts.
Security through obscurity.
"Get a magnifying glass there grandpa!"
Ha!
"Put a man on Mars? How about we put a man in an apartment! It's cold out there." - David Cross
We could even do both if we'd cut back on defense and tax the rich.
Yuo can fix the world economy by focusing on the direct needs of the people.
Start large-scale programs that direct assets away from military/aerospace spending to the following:
-infrastructure (roads, bridges, dams, schools, hospitals, housing)
-sustainable agriculture (crop rotation, avoid arid locales)
-drinking water (filtration, condensation)
-clean energy plants (tide/wave, geothermal, wind, solar)
-offer economic incentives to encourage population decline (tax breaks/increases, free sterilization and birth control)
-tax the wealthy
These actions will create local jobs, improve the quality of life and avert catastrophe.

Now, about that GigaPan. I don't think it will improve the economy in any way so give it to me and I assure you it will impact my quality of life by allowing me to take spherical panos with 10x less effort.
If I want amateur, agenda-driven commentary on the automotive industry I'll ask someone on the floor of a party convention. I don't need an entertainer's insight into anything important. I'm not looking to John Stewart nor Rush Limbaugh for factual analysis.
Yeah, this 12-14% doesn't really scare me much.
It actually makes for good ammunition when people tell you that lighter cars are death traps to justify their land arks.
At least half of the 'light vs. heavy' safety issue is accident avoidance - based on braking distance, maneuverability, and tendency to roll-over. I'd rather avoid the accident altogether.
Gotta have that Palm OS. Seriously guys just update the old Palm OS if you have to.
What would be the killer app for this thing?
I can't get that interested in anything there except the hardware.

List of NOT exciting elements that will be there at the Sheraton...
-Postcard images of the area (Sheraton snapshots)
-Sony playlist (DRM music store?)
-List of local corporate Disneyland crizzap and restaurants (Concierge)
-Maps (No keyboard so be prepared for some serious 'exploration')
-Kids

Wait until the first victim accidentally pairs it up and brings up all those party pics from the "Pizza and Hookers" social after the big halfwit tech conference the night before. Oh the lawsuits!

Makes total sense, thanks!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
