I know Mossberg said this one had speed problems, but I am still going for it.
As a writer who often gets fatigued of being on the laptop, this product has always intrigued me. But christ, it's several hundred dollars, it can't display more than a few lines of text.

How hard could it be to put together a simple screen and regular keyboard with an SD slot, and keep it below $60?

Does anyone else suffer from "online" fatigue, screen fatigue, white noise, hot laptops, etc, and want an intermediate solution? I'd love to write blog entries like this.
Let's see some mockups!

Remember this? :)

Wow, a lovely 13.3", 4 pound "ultraportable" - such a useful term
Where the F is the Samsung Q2/Q1-Ultra?
But you really do want the split keyboard! Trust a user of the Nokia E70/6820 line, you type so much faster than with a blackberry-like thumbboard
#60 -

And that U70 cost how much? $1800? Now $500 - $1000? Yeah, three-year-old tech, and the only benefit is they save you $1000+ bucks.

There was also a school of thought that said people will buy a music enclosure for a 10gig 1.8" drive, once it cost just a few hundred bucks.

You prob said at the time "How stupid, I've had a 10gig drive in my home machine for three years!"

"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
