I actually liked that aspect of Altair. In the beginning, he was so full of himself and to see him humbled by having his privileges removed was pretty cool. Also, Altair was mysterious, you didn't know his past or his future. You could come up with your own conclusions. With Ezio, it seems as though everything is going to be written out. I don't like that very much. I'm sure the game will be great anyway.
Would Mirror's Edge count? You can avoid fighting in the entire game.
I don't think removing the combat was a good idea either. The other Silent Hill games incorporated it the best. You felt vulnerable, but you weren't overpowered by the monsters. Homecoming totally messed that up.

And the winter theme... It sounds weird. I haven't seen any of the game, so I can't judge. Maybe the designers will make it work.
Just for the record, Bjork wasn't specifically using it, Mark Bell (aka LFO) was.
So, is this like Reactable V2 or what?
Sheppy, I totally agree. I think hip-hop and electronic music have always had a strange, intertwined relationship, so it boggles the mind how people can love hip-hop, but completely disregard quality electronic music.

When I first heard this game was coming out, I was excited, because I thought it was going to bring some electronic music to the mainstream. How naive of me. But hey, Grand Theft Auto 4 had an electro radio station! It would be insane to expect ANOTHER miracle like that in such a short amount of time.
Carl Sagan smoked weed. 'Nuff said.
They already had a Mad Max adaptation. It's called Fallout.
Agreed. There are so many genres outside of pop and commercialized hip-hop. How about some French House? Jungle? Old skool hardcore? Electro?

This game has so much potential that it'd be a shame to constrain the song choice like this. I bet they could've gotten the license for ten quality acid house tracks with the money it took to get "Flashing Lights" in there.
If this game has quality electronic music and hip-hop on it, I'll definitely buy it. But if it has a bunch of tacky trance "DJs" like Tiesto... um, no thanks.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
