Yeah, because lord knows Ipods never have problems. My 3rd gen iPod certainly didn't stop being able to hold a charge for more than 45 minutes within a year of getting it. And I definitely didn't have the same problem with the replacement iPod they sent me. Yep, the iPod has no problems at all!
Don't blame MS, blame the media companies and regional restrictions. Believe me, I'm just as pissed that I can't get the BBC's awesome iptv-esque program in the states as you are about not being able to get a lot of content through Windows.
You're right, Google is the best thing to happen to the computer industry. Apple...not so much. They make some very nice products, to be sure, but I think you're exaggerating their importance just a (huge) bit when it comes to the overall technology industry.
Ang,

I see what you did there. Replacing the s in Microsoft with a $. That's hilarious! Did you come up with that yourself? Replacing the s with the $ to indicate that a company that makes billions of dollars likes making billions of dollars is comedy gold. I bet you could even take the abbreviation, MS, and write it as M$ and it would be just as funny.

You, sir, are truly a pioneer of internet humor!
Paranoid much?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
