putting consoles in stores aside, i think nintendo's bigger problem for the wii is making a game that sticks. i only play wii tennis. i can name a few other guys who stick primarily to wii sports. zelda got old, madden sucked, wii golf owned tiger woods, call of duty was too inaccurate... and why the hell am i paying $7 for old NES games? i think this system is going to lose a lot of steam fast.
ipod's days are numbered. if only because people will get tired of the damn thing. everyone has an ipod. thats good for itunes. but in today's day and age, people want to personalize everything. if microsoft could make a sleeker zune with open wifi capability, i can see it seriously eroding ipod market share.
now if microsoft was really serious about this, they would make it open to third party apps. but thats too intelligent even for microsoft.
while this is cool, it isnt so impressive. building a home almost completely out of concrete is impractical. still it is a step in the right direction i think.
what i dont understand is why we havent seen automated port terminals. i just got back from hong kong and its really quite facinating to see all of those container ships. considering how much unions cost the logistics industry, i think its an area ripe for more R&D.
being a pc and not a mac user, i never really gave much thought to how my laptop looks. i am pretty convinced most people dont really care either. i think this is a step in the right direction though it never hurts to implement it in a more aesthetic way.
how the hell is this trash talking? but i do sense a bit of a challange. what he is saying is that sony's core fanbase is large enough to easily sell 80,000. but he obviously doenst think it is large enough to win the console war and sell 10,000,000 (i agree).
i am willing to bet my life that if blizzard remade galaga, it would be game of the year. i dont think any company has a more loyal fanbase...
it seems to me that all the pics and vids online are of the brown zune. i find that rather amusing since that was the color that microsoft got the most flack for (recall "shit brown").
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
