Snow Leopard is rare, hard to observe in the wild, and endangered. Yup, that is OS X...atleast it is with 10.5.3 update. Jeesh.
Joel was the best! Amiga ftw!!!
I hate getting to KOP too. I've found Lehigh Valley Mall easier to get to. Then there is Bridgewater (a hike but a client is on the way there so..). On the eastern end, i can also get to Freehold Raceway mall. Cherryhill and Marlton are too south unless, again, I am at a client near there.
Just disappointed that Apple is not near Newtown, Newhope or Bucks. Guess Mac outfitters has some issue if Apple were to put a store, say, in Warrington or Doylestown.
See-saw effect with Quark and InDesign.

Quark had crappy software but when it worked, it worked. And designers still have files and print bureaus still take them.
InDesign (PDF monopoly) has gotten better and gathered more converts from Quack, er Quark. PDF workflows are getting more ... complicated.

If it works, use it. But don't upgrade because THEY tell you to. And Eff ADobe for their "18-month" dupe the user Upgrade Cycle. People should just stop upgrading and stick it to them for their bloated apps.

Rant over. Warm beer. Sorry.
Replaceable batteries? You're implying she's hot?
I 3rd CCC (Bombich's great Carbon Copy Cloner).
And then there is the dreaded (formerly Dantz) EMC Retrospect (a beta is out for new version). And BRU (mostly to tape).
I hope SuperDuper is getting some kickback for their Icon use... :0
I thought I was a griper. Jeez, need to read whines, come to TUAW!

I give any kudos to someone that THOUGHT and DID something different. The LED touch is nice. The finish is his choice.
Me: if I could justify the hype and price, I would have funded an entire village in Ethiopia or fed them for a year on the $ spent on an iPhone. The labor this guy did was his and he did a nice job. If he had access to better hardware, I wonder what else he could do.
(personally, I would have gotten the back plated with some metal-coating that could take the abuse. My phone needs to work, not say "look at me, look what I have and you don't")
ROFL! I'll take death over being seated inside a Tundra!

BTW, ticks me off to get those "manufacturer warranty" letters with "Certified mail" printed on them (yet Bulk postage) ;)
Especially for a car I haven't owned for over two years...
its one thing to advertise "Advertisement Here". Its another to says its an Editor's note when in fact, it is not. This is misleading.

I don't have a problem with macupdate advertising, and I prefer their updates' database better than versiontracker (I don't have to be a member to get updates and nor do I have to deal with clicking a confusing download page), but I also agree that offering links to updates with competitive products labeled as "Editor's Notes" is deceptive.
I have to live with a 1cm scratch that was made when my unit slipped out of my shirt pocket, and slid on the tile floor, face down. This happened the day my case came in. :(

Thank you for the PDA take apart vid. Too bad YouTube vid quality is that of looking through an aquarium, filled with ballistic gel.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
