Low ranking Tom5304 won't make his prediction any less true. If you think this economy is going to sustainably rebound any time soon, I think you are delusional. Multi _Trillion_ (!!) dollar deficits (thanks Obama), Nationalized healthcare (thanks Obama), bankrupt Medicare (thanks Dems and GOP) and bankrupt Social Security program (thanks FDR for the world's largest Ponzi Scheme... Bernie Madoff got life in prison for a $50 billion scheme... the Federal Gov't's is $65+ Trillion - who can we send to jail for that?) Yeah, that's all very sustainable. I am however buying a ps3 slim :)
As a lifelong PC gamer (starting out with TRS80 model 1 and moving up to an Apple //, //+, //e, Amiga 1000, Amiga 3000, 486... now an o/c'd 9450 and x-fired 4850s), I have long sniffed at consoles... well hold on. I had an Atati 2600. Ok, one console. Be that as it may, about a year ago I got a Wii... My kids love it. We play games together as a family. Its great. A few months ago I got tired of waiting for the always about to happen price drop and bought a PS3 - as much for the BluRay player as anything. I honestly didn't realize that the wireless video streaming would be so easy/nice from my PC server. Or the audio streaming. Or the photos... And I've started playing games on it. Uncharted specifically. Laying back on the couch in front of my 58" plasma is different than being in my chair playing on my 24" monitor. Much different. More comfortable. Better sound. More relaxed. I downloaded the Batman Demo for PC and PS3 and decided to get it on the PS3 rather than the PC... Playing both demos, I really find my couch to be a more comfortable environment. Will I keep up with PC gaming? I'm sure, but this strange new world now has me wondering if I need a "BluRay Player" for the bedroom as well. I hear one just lost $100 from the msrp.
Fix the world economy? Easy. Massive global spending and tax cuts... Oh, and I'd love the keyboard combo as well.
They FORCE you to do what exactly? Are you a slave? If you don't like it: Quit and stop your whining.

What successful person works only 40 hours a week? Answer: Nobody.

And nobody can MAKE you come to work on a Saturday without getting paid for it. That's just dumb.

Aside from assisting in the the soon-to-be demise of the US auto industry (with coordinating help from our Imperial Gov't), can you tell me what unions have done in the past 60 years?
You're right. All those slaves they import to work there... We need to crush to only retailer left making money. Convert them the to the GM model of overpaid (really more over-benefited) union workers so they'll go out of business too. That'll make everything better.
How many here advocating for solar are running it already? Anyone? How is it working out for you? If not, what would be your trip point to pony up the $25,000 - $50,000 (varies highly I know) to outfit your house? An acquaintance of mine just spent $50,000+ on solar for his brand new ultra efficient house (in sunny Tucson, AZ) and assuming no panel degradation (which will happen I presume) and assuming he doesn't have to replace his batteries (which I presume he will) and without any other repairs or maintenance (which there will likely be), he tells me he assumes a break even point in 20 - 25 years... although some rough math on my part makes that seem longer than is likely by some few years. I love 'big energy' (especially I just had to go a few days w/o power due to a storm and got to enjoy being powerless) but would certainly like to not pay for electricity... who wouldn't?
My wife says: Wii want to win!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
