Calpella should be available in the second half of the year, maybe by Sept. or Oct. That is if it's not delayed until 2010 of course.
Once the "coming soon" features are available, Nvidia's ION or something similar from Intel & Win 7 is released, this will definitely be a netbook to consider. Until then, it's just ok like all of the others.
Now, when will Apple allow StyleTap to release their Palm OS emulation app for the iPhone & iPod Touch?!?
$149 would be more reasonable, but $179 isn't confirmed...yet. Anyway, I might still get a DSi for $179 (I would trade in a couple of DS Lites I have now) and download a few GB/GBA games to it.

Well, at least I can get matte black this time, that's almost worth $179 to me. I'm so tired of glossy black.
I just read that production is going to Poland. I have a feeling that a lot of people in Ireland wish the iron curtain was still up.

I'll wait for hardware revision B before I get a MBP. Probably in Jan. or Feb.
Since Apple violated its own policies, how about approving StyleTap's Palm OS emulation app for the iPhone & Touch? I could finally put my nearly 3-year-old Tungsten E2 and its declining battery to rest.
Siemens ICE 3rd generation FTW
MB/MBP Rev.B "new features":

- Improved trackpad
- Improved MacBook display on all configurations
- maybe a new "premium" MB with a P9500, 4GB RAM & cinema display at $1699 ($100 price reduction on current configurations)
- Better QC
- Matte option (maybe)
- MacBook with FW800 (dreaming)

It usually does make sense to wait for rev. B of any new design. I would expect things to improve early next year. As for the early adopters, maybe a software patch will help...maybe.
The new Dell Studio XPS 13 coming out next month will probably get it. The Studio XPS 16 will probably get the same setup as the new MBP, 9400M & 9600M GT.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
