Each swing can only be better than one of your own swings (bear with me, I know that I should say 'stroke' instead of swing - it will make sense later). Golfers are no more athletes than chess champions or poker pros. Now take Lance in cycling, Tebow in NCAA football, even Wally Gubbins in skydiving.... some might be a stretch, but golf is not even a qualifier. And, as far as swinging.... Moral terpitude says a lot. A bonified athlete would not act in a manor to bring shame on himself if he is the top of his game and most of the public eye. One who cheats would cheat anywhere and about anything. As for fair treatment... I can sum it up in one name - Pete Rose.
