@N900: Indeed, Sony did first put a chiclet keyboard into a laptop. I have been searching their site and it seems like there is a bluetooth keyboard, the VGP-BKB1, that Sony put on their SonyStyle.com website recently.

@Uncontrol: Sorry, PC user here.

Question: Are chiclet keyboards (wired or wireless) available for a desktop? I have only seem them on laptops before and wondered if they were available in something other than this eee keyboard.

@Tes: No doubt about the expense. In general Sony is pretty darn expensive. Adding i7 to the mix definitely wont help matters. Honestly though, none of the i7 laptops (except maybe the Acer Aspire 8940) are cheap.
@Oli D: I am actually following the HP Envy 15 just as closely on the NotebookReview.com forums. I am just trying to find out more info if Sony is going to release an i7 laptop or not. All the other PC/Windows manufacturers have already shipped/released or announced their i7 laptops but I haven't heard even the faintest rumor regarding Sony.

I'm wondering if its worth the price to get an i7 or not. I am in need of a new laptop and do some minor photo editing in Photoshop and want a laptop that can play Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 when they come out. I personally think i7 would be a bit over kill for me but since I am in the market for a new laptop and Bing is rumored to have another 40% cash back offer coming up around Black Friday/Cyber Monday I was thinking of going all out laptop wise.
