hdmi is out.. not in... you cant route video from a cable box to the htpc by hdmi... there would be no way to tune the channels via media center.... cable card tuners are coming.. engadget reported that windows7 has support for cablecards and thus we should see them becoming more accessible to the masses shortly. then i can see this thing being SUH WEET!!!! but even with just an HD usb tuner, this thing rocks!! and besides, just put an objectdock dock bar on the bottom, load up a bunch of shortcuts to netflix, hulu, etc, get yourself a gyration mediacenter remote, and kick back and enjoy!!!!!
why bother with a 4gb thumb drive when you could just pull up your entire music library off your network... ????
LMAO.. i guess they're just trying to cover their butts on the poor specs! I know my old treo 700w coulda really used this, as i had to do one almost every day to get it to work!! i have a tilt running that SPB shell and i love it... its a VERY snappy ui.. seems like alot of companies out there make their living off correcting microsoft's mistakes... or at least making it look and feel way better than microsoft left it... nope.. these winmo phones dont sway me anymore... im mentally preparing for a life switch to android... wish i could have a gsm hero that ran 3G here in the US.... sigh..
not if it doesnt have Sense UI on it... imo that's what makes me want the hero so badly.. but im actually considering an unlocked UK GSM version, because 1) im not sure about sprint, and 2) what the heck!? why did they change the looks of it!!?? the hero was sexy! remins me of the white zune when it came out... big design challenge to that generation's ipod...
i just wish it was coming on tmo... not sprint... i dont want to switch... but i love the hero... i may go for the mytouch and put the hero rom on it.. i've heard it works great.... but yes.. the hero is very slick...

i just tried chatting with a sprint online rep and she had no clue what i was talking about when i asked about the hero...
that translation is hilarious! i wonder if this is going to be a cheap gsm for tmo to add to it's menu.....
hey... i like best buy... i get to go in and look at all the stuff and play with it, test it, hold it, etc....

then i go home and buy it online from somewhere else for usually about 25% less....
i agree... but unless you either switch to sprint on october 11th or order a hero unlocked from the UK, you'll be waiting a while... this is my quandary right now... mytouch, or somehow get the hero unlocked.. if you're on facebook, become a fan of the hero and you'll get alot of info through that method....
Bluetooth headphones my friend..... i use them on my tilt while streaming pandora radio WHILE charging the phone... get the moto s9's and you have a great work out partner too..
MWAHAHAHAHAAA!!!

oh, and why dont you like it?????? reasons!!!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
