Hahaha... "Retro gaming with DLP..."

You mean I can play Galaga on this? Well, I was gonna go with LCD but now... HOLY CRAP SCREW THAT AND SIGN ME UP FOR IT'S AMAZING IT'S THE MIRRORS!!!!1
Is this PMP also a totally awesome band from Philadelphia?
You'd think they'd make the sign less confusing... the W and 4 trains don't go to West 14th. Sheesh.
I believe Alan is comparing himself to his iPhone-owning doppelgänger.
Hear that, Michael Rose? It's the sound of Jimi Hendrix's ghost making plans to smite you for calling John Mayer a "guitar god."
I'd definitely expect an upgrade for the MBP soon. But I highly doubt we'll be seeing Merom in the MacBook anytime this year. It's still basically a bargain laptop.

Or at least that's what I'm hoping, because I just got a MacBook a week and a half ago, and I'd be pretty pissed.
I just sent this story off to my friend at the NY Daily News. This mayhem must stop before it starts.
Regarding the actual earphones instead of the exchange rate, the PTH button is actually a good idea. I have the Etymotic ER6i canalphones and taking them out to hear what anyone is trying to say to you, or to listen to announcements on trains or planes, can get somewhat annoying since it takes a while to get them fitted back in just right.

Unfortunately this button couldn't exist on the ER6i since they use passive noise cancelling, but I'd take that over active noise cancelling any day of the week, for sound quality at least (and price, weight, and the lack of need for a battery).
Hmm... why are the Q, W, A, and Z keys in the wrong place?
Ah yes, my mother, father and uncle all worked in this building, and I live just a couple miles away from it. It will be sorely missed... the cubicles were very impersonal, yes, but in a badass sort of way. They always had cool stuff there on Christmas Eve when employees could bring their kids in, like a massive Christmas tree in the lobby. As a kid I was particularly fond of the big fountain and the glass elevator, although now I'm more appreciative of the countless technologies that were developed here.

Hopefully I'll be able to give the place one more visit before they knock it down, or maybe get drunk and go to the destruction ceremony. At least they're keeping the transistor water tower up.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
