Jul 10th 2008 4:38PM Erica: incontrovertible proof that the App Store means "Christmas In My Trousers"!

Win A White + Warren Cashmere Travel Wrap {Luxist}

Jun 24th 2008 6:03PM I keep cool by turning off all the appliances I'm not using, and by using CFLs when I need light. I do run the ceiling fans to supplement the air conditioning. Loose weave clothes are great. So is hanging out by the pool drinking citrus drinks or iced tea. And while it doesn't directly affect feeling cool, wearing plenty of sunscreen keeps me from feeling burned.

Domo arigato, the iPhone is coming to Japan {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jun 4th 2008 12:06PM Christina, how many bands do the current GSM iPhones have access to? 2, 3, 4? They seem to be used around the world, even in grey market areas.

It would be unlike Apple to switch to a "just DOESN'T work" paradigm for world travelers/businesspeople, the ones who have the most cash to buy these to begin with, don't you think?

My USB dilemma, can you help? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

May 19th 2008 4:45PM One or two Tunesyncs (5 usb powered hub& ipod dock) and a Mini-style external drive bay with usb/fw hub should work great with a Mini. I'm just surprised you don't seem to need firewire at all?

May 19th 2008 4:09PM I can understand why they want to charge, because they're working from the model where public performance rights cost more money than private rights. Eventually it's the model that will have to change, because we keep finding new uses for this content that blur all those old lines.

Scanning wallet cards into the iPhone {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

May 15th 2008 2:03AM Almost all my cards have little tags to stick on my keyring. But it's a nice idea.

Spotting celebs with the iPhone {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

May 15th 2008 1:57AM When many celebrities get paid/get free products just for being seen with them, it seems silly to pay much attention to them. Of course, I'm not sure why someone would trust, for example, a guy who jumps up and down on couches, as having expertise in picking the best laptop, anyway.

Safari AdBlock Frees Hulu {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

May 13th 2008 4:19PM I watched Christopher Walken's googly-eye gardener ( http://twurl.nl/gx44nb ) and saw ads across the bottom. I take it that these are not the ones you're blocking?
