Ridiculous pricing for the Mini. The specs are veeery modest, and it hasn't been upgraded for, what, one and a half years?

And they turn up the price considerably.

Bad move. I'll buy something else.
Norwegian store down.

Come on, get that new Mac Mini out there!
Well, let's see Steve Jobs allow something like Opera Mini in the app store first, or even an app making it possible to delete single SMS message. Until then the "freedom" part is a bit dubious, eh?

(I kid, I kid!)
It's only the US Apple Store that is down (again), so don't expect anything major.

We're hearing the price of the iPod Shuffle has been cut. Wow.
This is the power of the girlfriend: She can freak out of HE buys something.

Try freaking out the next time she buys a pair of very expensive shoes. It won't work. She'll just freak out right back at ya, and you lose twice.

Hmm.
That wasn't really my point. My point was that with the iPhone and the subscription bit they f'ed everything up. God knows when this phone will reach the rest of the world, God knows which operator, God knows how expensive.

I just want them to sell the phone. Period. Or comma, should I care about Maci The Pedant.
Thanks, Apple, for taking a few more steps towards becoming the new Microsoft, or Sony (i.e. PSP).

I used to like almost everything you did. I used to defend you all the time. I don't anymore.

It's not a "rip off" per se, because this iPhone is not intended for customers.

It's intended as a "f*ck you" to Vodafone and their lawyers. It's just a work around for the injunction.

This is the same practice that will be used in France. Slap a price of 1000 or 1500 Euros on it, and NO ONE will buy the phone without a contract. It's not even clever, it's the most obvious thing they could've done. It's so easy to bypass legislation sometimes - I bet the Apple/T-Mobile lawyers spent two minutes on this one.

Exactly. Committing to AT&T, O2 and other providers is one of the most stupid moves from Apple that I can remember - at least from the standpoint of the customer. I live in Norway, and a friend bought me the iPhone when he went to the States.

Since that I've had so many people ask about this phone it's ridiculous - but none of them can buy it the regular way because of Apples commitment to money rather than the customer. We have no idea when the iphone will arrive in Scandinavia, for all I know it could be next fall before anything happens. Small countries and all that, and Apple doesn't care enough about small markets to make them a priority.

I can buy EVERY other Apple product here, just not the iPhone. And that stinks.

#14: Have you tried playing video on the E61?

Glad you are happy with it. I currently have some serious techno lust for it, and Symbian S60 is a lot more proven than whatever Motorola puts in the Q (is the name there so that they can sponsor the next Bond movie?).
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I love my little computing companion but I often find myself missing a full sized keyboard. I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? Thanks!"
