Regarding dual tuner functionality:
The Series2 DT DVR can record from two basic cable channels, or one basic cable and one digital cable channel, at once. It does not support recording from two digital cable or satellite channels at once.

Regarding the release date:
"Selected entrants will receive the the weekly prize by mail within thirty (30) days of the Weekly Sweepstakes end date and the Grand Prize by mail within four (4) months of the end of the Sweepstakes Period (exact timing subject to change based upon availability of Grand Prize, which is scheduled to be released for public sale in the second half of 2006)."

Although this article says that the days of paying $12.95 per month and buying the box separately are gone...they're not. There are two choices for new subscribers:

Buy your box separately (from a retailer, eBay, a friend, wherever), and pay the same $12.95/mo as before (there is a one year commit, same as before too).

Alternatively you can have TiVo send you a box, and you pay a slightly higher monthly fee (starting at $16.95 with a three year commit).

If you don't like monthly fees, either way you go you can pre-pay for service and get a better deal (either one, two, or three years).

While it's true that lifetime is going away, if you buy your DVR before 3/16/06 you'll have until 4/15/06 to activate Lifetime service. If you buy your box after 3/16/06, Lifetime will not be available as an option for that box.

All of the official details are on tivo.com.

To be clear, you're also not 'renting' the box. You own the box, whether you pick it up at retail and go $12.95/mo, or you order a free box from tivo.com and pay $16.95. You own the box (same as cellphones, satellite tv, etc).

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
