Won't matter much to some people, assuming you still have to pay the $45/month plan to get synced with exchange.
I thought the case was a load of B.S. They were essentially just complaining that they didn't get "Aero Glass", not a functional part of the OS. The PC's they bought did indeed run Vista, hence the use of the word Vista Capable. I remember back when Vista came out and read over the different labeling we would see, "Vista Basic", "Vista Premium" and "Vista Capable". Any PC that was "Basic" would not necessarily run "Glass" and any pc that was “Capable” only had to meet the reqs of being "Basic". Their lawsuit, like I said is B.S., how can you blame or sue Microsoft for your own stupidity and the stupidity of Microsoft employees doesn't give any more credence to the lawsuit.
@JonThomas

I agree, given the TDP and power usage of the current Core i7's, it doesn't seem like it would even be possible to release a decently clocked 8 core version without a die shrink. Although I had been secretly hoping for a surprise 2 die Kentsfield like version of the Core i7 with 8 cores. From a few slides I saw awhile back not even Westmere will bring 8 cores to the desktop or 2 socket server market, they're currently speced to be 6 cores. Check out the wiki article on the Nehalem arch, they've got good info for Westmere, Sandy Bridge and Haswell.
Where did you hear this? I have been in DVR hell with the 8300HDC ever since I got it.
Agreed, can't wait to get FiOS. I have TW's Road Runner Premium @ 15Mbps down but a measly 768Kbps up.
That's what I always wear.
It was a bad comparison, he should've said it's no match to an OC'd Q6600 or Q9450.
My fav would be Office '07 and getting to hear all the complaining from people at work when I upgrade them from Office XP.
That's what I'm saying. If they added Sat Radio and HD Radio it would be perfect.
I'll believe it when I see it, AMD's been really good at making slides and product schedules but has failed completely at execution.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
