T-Mobile G1 and Sony Ericsson X1 seen side-by-side, molten lava hangs head in shame {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 7th 2008 7:20PM No doubt the X1 has better styling. The brushed aluminum looks 1000x better than the G1's plastic casing.

Samsung Omnia passes FCC with North American 3G, for real this time? {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 7th 2008 12:25AM So the i907 is the Epix, this must be the Mirage. The name fits the look of the device, but it doesn't have the xxx7 designation most AT&T phones from Samsung get. The A867 looks to be a dumbphone Omnia with MediaFLO, could we be seeing a i907L or i917?

AMD to make "significant corporate announcement" tomorrow, possibly breaking up {Engadget}

Oct 7th 2008 12:22AM This is what happens when you let Intel walk all over you with the Core series. AMD had a comfy lead after the Athlon 64 gave the P4 a shameful beating. Intel came right back and got back their lost ground plus a lot more.

Rogers gets rugged with Motorola VA76r {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 30th 2008 12:44AM Looks pretty similar to the W760r, which has been known about FOREVER but hasn't come to AT&T.

FCC working to approve Sprint / Clearwire and Verizon / Alltel mergers by the end of the year {Engadget}

Sep 29th 2008 2:40PM Title should be working to "review" instead of "approve".

Samsung A867, Sangria, and Mirage all coming to AT&T? {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 29th 2008 2:23PM I'm guessing they figured they already have a touchscreen WinMo phone coming with the Fuze and the Omnia would be too close to the iPhone for Apple's sake, so they're getting an Omnia minus Windows Mobile but with MediaFLO.

Welcome to the DNC, featuring Barack Obama and the T-Mobile Bold {Engadget}

Sep 28th 2008 5:37PM It seems everyone is forgetting the Bold 9000 doesn't have the 1700mhz band for T-Mobile 3G. If there is a Bold with the AWS bands it hasn't passed through the FCC.

Meet the T-Mobile G1 {Engadget}

Sep 22nd 2008 11:11PM It's been out in limited areas for a couple months. And the G1 is supposed to have AWS 3G from that big ol chunk of 1700mhz they bought a couple years ago.

Meet the T-Mobile G1 {Engadget}

Sep 22nd 2008 10:52PM It's funny that T-Mobile has been pushing 3G yet of late, and in the stock photo of their biggest 3G device to date it shows 5 bars in EDGE, not 3G.
