May 6th 2008 4:37PM Well... that makes sense considering how they are doing repairs right now. My screen started showing some signs of fading, so they just replaced it with a brand new one.
If they don't wait for that 1 year warranty to be up, they'll be replacing the old ones with 3G iPhones instead.
Either way, it looks like I better start saving my money.

Feb 13th 2008 10:59AM originally only had 1 bubble, but it has quickly turned into 3. Functions fine, but I'm going to take it in.
I actually thought it might be because I live in the Northwest and the moisture in the air might be sneaking in on my slightly sunken screen. I hadn't noticed it until I saw a friend's iPhone.

Jan 24th 2008 5:45PM Which just goes to show you... Old people really aren't computer savy, regardless of computer make or model.
Then again, the last PowerMac G4 was made nearly 6 years ago, and if the laptop was purchased any time near that, I would say it's probably not a fair comparison, not even to a slightly older version of the SONY VAIO AR.

Jan 5th 2008 4:28PM Everything is still component with the Slingbox. There is no HDMI on any of their products. The Slingbox Pro has an HDMI slot but it really only connects a component adapter with component in and out as well as audio in and out.
I don't see how this is really different than what was available before...

Leopard on an 8 year old G4 Power Mac -- can it be done? {Engadget}
Oct 26th 2007 3:30PM I have a 933mhz PowerMac G4 Quicksilver and have had no problems installing Leopard - at least not that I have noticed. It works pretty darn well for the upgrade. I think if it were a clean install, it would even be better.
This will definitely be the last time I upgrade OS on this machine. Bought it in 2001, I would say it's done about as much as any computer could.
Looking forward to at least two or three more years with it. Great machine!

Oct 25th 2007 12:09PM I don't think this would be able to be used in most dentist offices. The one I do IT work for would have to add a special shield between the device and the cheek to prevent things from splashing under and into the eye.
That is the main reason these things haven't been selling. If these companies payed attention to safety regulation and thought about how to share the device without it looking or feeling gross, they would be rich.
