Why not just use a real gps (one with a screen) so it has more value (like tagging points you want to return to, to take pictures later).

I use a Garmin GPSmap 60 CSx and the thing is rock solid even under a tree canopy (VERY accurate)

I just clip it to my backpack.

Then run the gps log file against your photos with RoboGeo (http://www.robogeo.com) which can write into the exif data on raw's.
That's b.s. I have 4x 7200.11 drives in my RAID 5 system. One failed and I went on Seagate's site, entered my serial # from the drive, it said my warranty was good until March 15, 2013. Clicked the RMA, printed the info and was done. Got my replacement drive a few days later.
yes because cellphones are so important (compared to clean water)
I have the Olympus Stylus 770 SW (7.1mp). I got it for sea kayaking, I can leave it attached to my deck rigging and take pictures when needed, it's shock proof for getting bounced around and scratched (metal case is scratched up) and waterproof (they said the 770 is good to 33 feet, but I never put it more than a foot underwater). I chose this camera over a Sony (sony + plastic waterproof case) because it's so much smaller, makes it more convenient. It also slips into a jeans pocket no problem.
The real answer is a distance alert sensor on the phone, so as you're texting it says "heads up, asshole!" and you can avoid the post.
I misread that first sentence, although she kinda DOES look like an animatronic..

"what with Kathy Griffin, an Epcot animatronic"
Why is that guy wearing a video card & heat sink on his leg?
I don't think anyone wants to see a display made with 1000 gallons of pee
On their previous model that was usb 2.0 only, they (geekstuff4u) said it had heavy shipping because the base is weighted to keep the drive from falling over, so you're basically paying for lead weights.

They should have made a hollow spot in the bottom to take another old crappy drive and use that as ballast.
There's a Meraki wifi setup in Manchester, NH courtesy of the DynDNS guys.

"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
