PS3

had to pay for an unexpected funeral...
I also miss custom soundtracks. Sony, hurry with the in-game XMB before I get sick of the radio stations (don't worry though, there's at least a month or two before that will happen)
I have been saying that the PSP should play mini-blu ray discs since before the PSP really came out. I was hoping they included this reading software with the PSP to make it future proof (like they did with the PS3). This is much of the reason I haven't gotten one, just to see how much capacity a mini-BD would hold and it holds the amount of a regular DVD. THis will be amazing as soon as the price of blu-ray drops to a reasonable cost.
It almost seems as if Microsoft owns Immersion.

Follow me here... Immersion sues Sony for some ungodly amount. They also "sue" Microsoft who just settles out of court for petty change. Immersion (some no-name company) defeats Sony and gets that ungodly amount out of Sony's pocket. Microsoft is now "suing" Immersion for the money it made. Very mafioso/Stewie Griffin "where's my money!?"

I know this is sort of a stretch, but it damn near doesn't seem like it. Had anyone heard of immersion before this? It was probably created by Microsoft for times like this ("In case of successful idea utilized by another company, break glass" type of thing).
@BangBang

1 thing that I am sure I remember seeing an article about is that Sony stopped producing betamax just recently. Could be wrong but I swear I saw the article before.
300 = Warner Bros. movie
Warner Bros. supports Blu-Ray

Scarface = Universal movie
Universal supports HD-DVD

Really hope that Universal comes to it's senses and just goes free format (at least).

@Dave

Oh, well i guess i don't really disagree. I just think Xbox is definatively playing catch up
@Digi Smalls

When PS2 had better games than the XBOX, it was games over hardware.

This time around, it's not games over hardware. It's better hardware and the same great franchises you loved with better hardware. Not to mention backwards compatability to the games you loved that we made for the PS2.

Exclusives don't goof me. I have a PS3, will buy good games whether they are PS3 exclusive or not. In the grand scheme of things, exclusives do not effect the end user experience that much. That is, unless they fuck it up like EA did with Def Jam: Icon and didn't include custom soundtracks (Fuck you EA for that).

As for the argument that some games are only possible with blu-ray is another discussion entirely...
@Dave

So then what is the point of argument? Neither offer the elite bundle
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
