Here in Northern Ireland we are making the leap from 1.8 to 3.6 Mbps for the 40 or so percent of the population that can get it!
So when can we expect to see these badboys on the market? "Soon."

In the UK I only got a B in GCSE English (which is the maximum level you legally have to take) and I'm pretty sure there should be a fully stop after those speech marks. People are getting fired because there is no work for them any more, one of the very few things you have to do (correct grammar for writing), you don't do correctly. A 16 year old British person could do your job better. worst still I'm slightly drunk, so a Drunk 16 year old English person (which are plentiful) could do your job better. For shame!

P.S. "badboys" is two words.
'Ultimately, the researchers say they could one day build a massive supercomputer consisting of 20 million embedded microprocessors at a cost of $75 million, which they say would have a power consumption of less than 4 megawatts and a peak performance of 200 petaflops.'

4 megawatts?? 'Study climate change' I think they are just going to create a lot of emissions to speed the whole thing up and see what will happen. I can't drive a 4x4 because they pollute but they can use 4 megawatts of electricity!?!?! How much coal/carbon is that going to use/release?!?! You know what, I’m going to leave everything on standby, that’ll teach the a**holes.
2GB and PMP in the same sentence?!? WTF?
They wouldn't be giving away '$20 million to anyone that can land a privately funded robot on the moon by 2012' if they could just send an R/C racer, would they?
Sounds like an engineering nightmare
If they would make it 16GB or shove an SD slot in there then we can talk dollars
o hell yeah!
ipod touch FTW!!!!!!!!
Damn Alex you had to go and cut me off there didn't ye?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
