American MINI fans want in on the diesel goodness too! {Autoblog Green}

Jun 10th 2007 9:57PM Dextro: Forgive me if I'm incorrect, but I do believe that the Mini One Diesel is different from the Mini Cooper D that those of us in the States are clamoring for.

Howling Rayman Raving Rabbids cake {Joystiq}

Mar 18th 2007 2:56PM Hey Chris,

Rabbid cake maker here. Yes, there are better cakes out there. I've seen what it takes to make such cakes, but I don't have the experience nor the equipment to pull that off.

A couple of things you might find interesting:

- The pan I used had to be made out of aluminum foil, which was somewhat difficult to bake in
- I got the idea the night before the birthday, which effectively gave me a few hours from prep to delivery
- This was my first time ever baking and frosting a cake

I wish I had the time and materials to even begin to attempt the type of cake you linked to. Until then, this is what I've made -- and quite frankly, for my first time out, I'm damn proud of it.

Sure, it was Halloween, but we'd do it again if we had passes to E3. Heh.

Windows XP on Mac solution posted {Engadget}

Mar 16th 2006 12:03PM I'd hold off on the MacBook Pro comments. I'll be in the market as well once confirmed, but the HOWTO seems to only discuss the iMac. There was also a mention earlier that not even all iMacs are supported at this point.

I'd love to be proved wrong, but better to err on the side of caution.

msystems' FlashDisc for the floppy user {Engadget}

Mar 16th 2006 10:52AM Looking at today's Fry's ad, a 128MB USB drive is currently going for $6.99 out the door.

These better be priced damn well if they hope of making any sales.
