Well, as soon as I try some of this "pizza," I'll be ready to kick the bucket.
wouldn't you be swimming at a 90-degree angle (to the rip current) if you were going parallel to shore? a 45-degree angle (to the current) would still have you swimming against it.
so are you making headway on the book? i have read both bad and good things about it on amazon. i want to know what you think about it...
The real news story this week is this one: http://observer.guardian.co.uk/international/story/0,6903,1577753,00.html warning all of us wetsuit-wearers to stay out of the Gulf of Mexico. It seems that the US Navy's dolphins--armed with toxic darts and trained to kill terrorists or anyone wearing a wetsuit--are on the loose after Hurricane Katrina.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
