All Apple had to do is to add some more memory in the bloody machine. who the heck wants to buy a $2499 machine with ONLY 3GB of memory?
switch to bootcamp on my mac mini, run blackrain and all went fine. got my iphone 3gs up in just minutes. great job!!!
I am helping the economy paying my medical
bills. Can't even afford the new iPhone -:(
I'm assuming its Feb. '09 ... is so, then it will be most unlikely.
I got my 3G July 12th '08, which I will be a years in my contract. I am hoping I will get the discounted price.
I will not be standing in-line like I did last year for 5+ hours.

Heck NOO!!! will wait until July 12th to pick the 3G [S] up.

I will be selling the current 3G afterwards, once I get it unlocked ...
SkyNet will be "online" sooner than we think.

We better find John Connor very soon or

go live in a cave before the MACHINES take over.
Never won anything in this life ... maybe this could be a first.

Hail to the force of destiny. Keep some, more to charity ...

Peace
Ok .. all is fine now, everything is back to normal.
By-the-way, am I suppose to see the Cydia icon on the phone or is it now replaced by "Installer"?

the phone doesn't feel any different, now I just have to figure how to install non-apple apps on the phone.

thanks guys
My bad ... I just noticed that my itunes music, movies, tv shows did not get sync. so the question is, should I restore again?
Yea, you are correct Y3k-Bug ... the phone was restored back to how it was previously with the exception of the installer icon on the phone.

But itunes keeps bring up that "set up your phone" window. How do I get ride of it or must I restore from the same backup again or choose "set up as a new iphone'?

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
