WOOHOO...A2DP....iPhone say hello to my Motrola S9.
My vote is for Canon HG-20.

As noted previously 24mbps recording in 30/24p setting is great. Low light quality is also good if you go to manual mode. Has dummy proof automatic mode to get started right away. Lots of fun wide angle lenses to make some fantastic production shots of skating/skiing/biking.

The two downsides are the included software (just toss it out, it's useless like most included software on these cameras) and working with AVCHD can be a chore. New versions of Vegas 9, Premiere, and Cyberlink VideoProducer all support AVCHD now and performance if improving but manipulation of raw footage and encoding can take a very long time and needs a relatively robust computer to be feasible.

I plan to setup a Core i7 setup to handle the AVCHD format which shouldn't be a problem.

The flip side of using DV tapes is that it will take 1:1 time to capture to the format at the beginning (ie 60min of footage takes 60min to capture) but you capture to more user friendly formats in the process, hence, you save a lot of time of work flow and post production. You also have ability to use earlier version of video editing software to handle it.

Good luck!!!!

You are most certainly correct Mr. Guess.
I'm not sure this is in the best financial interest of PS3. The further shift to downloadable content, the more damage to BluRay sales right?
You know, I had my doubts about the coming of downloadable content and it's replacement of physical media (DVD, BluRay) but if something like Netflix can get such a wide distribution across Video Games, DVR's, standalones, and BlueRay players then maybe indeed we are seeing the future.

I have a Netflix account myself and it's decent. There are some quality movies on there, enough to keep you entertained but far from a complete collection. I'm curious to see the new HD line up.

Potential obstacles remain. My "high-speed" internet connection barely pops over 1.5Mbps and video quality is on par with average Divx quality media. I think there are still large swaths of markets that lack adequete high speed internet but maybe that will improve over the next five years.

The next place I live, I'm going to try hard to make sure if has something blazing fast like FiOS.

Went to AT&T store here in Seattle today and they informed me that they are not accepting iPhone orders today because of a system problem with the ordering system. Told to come back tomorrow and might be up again. Such a waste time. I guess I would probably have an iPhone in my hand if I didn't have a LIFE and JOB that prevented me from waking my ass up at 3am to go stand outside the Apple store.

Not to start another rumor mill but I have heard that not only does Microsoft plan to decrease the power consumption but they also plan to incorporate the power brick into the console itself. FYI
As a soon to practicing radiologist, I doubt this will have much of an impact on our practice. Digital radiography is fairly widely used and encompasses a majority of radiological imaging done. It is cheap and relatively low in radiation. Applying this technique to extremity films may be helpful but most fracture or bone abnormalities are fairly easy to spot by a good radiologist. The additional radiation dosage to the individual patient would likely not be very significant as most xray of these parts are dealing with relatively radioresisitant tissue (as opposed to breasts and gonads).

Still, most radiographs are evaluated at time long after a patient has left the building and to do this prospectively would be difficult unless the patient was in the ER and we requested additional imaging. Probably not worth the investment for most radiology departments.

Just wait until SWOS comes out. Then the money will pour in.
What is most interesting about this deal is the political undertones it carries seeing as Intel is heavily invested in Isreal and now the Arabs have a stake in AMD.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I love my little computing companion but I often find myself missing a full sized keyboard. I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? Thanks!"
