Think tank pins Apple's iPod as possible culprit for increase in violent crime {Engadget}

Mar 5th 2008 1:13PM Hrm, Why steal someones iPod when you could steal their money and buy one in the color that matches your phat new Reeboks... Wow, thieves are stupid.

MacBook Air selling out left and right? {Engadget}

Mar 3rd 2008 7:02AM Dude, my wife bitches about the Apple posts here. Sometimes you can even make it out mid-fellatio.

MacBook Air selling out left and right? {Engadget}

Mar 3rd 2008 6:37AM "they're constantly pushing technology ahead harder and faster than anyone else"

That is complete and utter BS. They may be pushing candy coated design, but certainly not technology. Have you seen the MBA specs? And on the hype, that 0.16-inches sounds good, but it's at the expense of a large, and IMO, ugly screen bezel. Sure, you could build a laptop with a razor sharp knife edge and say it's 10 microns thick, include 1/3 of the standard functionality and suddenly, you have a winner!

Woman files $54m lawsuit against Best Buy for losing laptop {Engadget}

Feb 12th 2008 3:06PM As a disclaimer, I've worked in the repair dept. at Best Buy. I hated every minute of it. However, the company does keep pretty decent track of the inventory. Everything is tracked through a system with a scannable bar code and number placed on every item. This is purely speculation, but if she didn't pick it up until August, it may have sat on the shelf for a couple months or more while they called every day. Granted, it's Best Buy's fault they lost it, but it's easier to see how it happened if sat there gathering dust for 2+ months.

Sprint layoffs start at the top {Engadget}

Jan 24th 2008 10:43AM And...because all companies are ran exactly as they should be, all layoffs should be understood as being "nobody's fault but mine". Additionally, executives should receive very large severance packages and an "A" for effort. Hey, at least they tried, right? /sarcasm off

Blu-ray players grab 93 percent of market after Warner went Blu {Engadget}

Jan 22nd 2008 9:43PM I wasn't expecting so much of the HD-DVD customer base to be up to date on what the studios are doing with regard to choosing a side. Pretty amazing. Seems to show that people just want a damn standard, regardless of who makes it.

HD DVD booklet from CES explodes with irony {Engadget}

Jan 20th 2008 10:48AM @derX A post certainly doesn't have to be long to be witty, but this one blurs the line between respectable gadget site and middle school blogger.

HD DVD booklet from CES explodes with irony {Engadget}

Jan 20th 2008 10:02AM Wow, engadget wasn't joking when they said they needed writers. It looks like the requirement of "wit" wasn't well communicated in the past.
