I have one and I love it. I just got it for web browsing and emailing and it works great for that. I think the problem is people are buying this and expecting it to replace a real laptop (not going to happen). I use my cell phone as a modem and now have web access wherever I go without using wi-fi hotspots. I bought the cheaper version for $749 at BB so maybe that lowered my expectations.
Can you install XP? I know XP is overkill but inorder to get pdanet to work (so I can use my sprint connection) I have to use active sync.
Make sure you phone is supported. I could never get the N800 to work with my treo on Sprint. I ended up returning it because of this.

I'll try again with the 810.
Actually the 20 GB has full backwards compatibility so it's still better for people who have a PS2 collection that they still want to play.
EDGE...why'd it have to be EDGE.
How does youtube make money? Are there ads on that site?
I'm a treo owner (700w). As soon as they have a 3G iPhone, I'm switching. Mobile browsing is high on my list of wants/needs. The Treo is a nice device, but the iphone will offer a better browsing experience once it is on a decent data network.
You can still only get a single cable card tuner.
Crazy! I bet the RIAA could afford better lawyers than the single mom which is probably what this came down to.
Great price.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
