Not surprised. Hitachi Data Systems reps in the Seattle area (if the Danger/Tmobile/Microsoft joint DC is in the Seattle area) aren't very competent. I used to work for a company that had two HDS SANs and supervised an update to one (HDS updates are only allowed to be performed by Hitachi, doesn't matter if you work for the company or not). We had "problems" half way. The SAN now was reporting failed hard drives all over the place because of this new firmware that we were required to be at in order to get support for next year. I thankfully had a live backup on standby in our backup DC. But I could have been in a very similar boat.

I'd like to actually not get a dropped call for once. 5 bars and I get a "call failed" three times in a 35 minute conference call.

Yeah there are a ton of other booths in the North Hall. Other then some of the case manufacturers, there is the digital photo experience, panasonic, blurb, likewise, caldigit.... but like this comment I'm sure those booths will never be noticed because apparently "only the south hall gets attention" that and acura.
Mac Enterprise stuff if there is any. Maybe more AD integration software, Microsoft Project replacements or Sharepoint replacements, etc. With Macs becoming more and more popular there is bound to be software for the enterprise. I'm getting sick of seeing articles that there is no Mac enterprise software when Google searches reveal otherwise.
Any reason why I should pick this up or not spend $60 more on the GX260? Seems like a better card to me or am I wrong on that?
Hrm so after try #3 I would've emailed the magic email address of sjobs@apple.com which is read by the executive customer support team. That is what i did 2 years ago with my iMac G5, they offered a replacement via the store. So all I had to do was go down to the nearest store (which they reimbursed me for in a $50 gift certificate), trade in my defective iMac G5 and in return I got a brand new intel iMac (my G5 was already a year old at the time).

Seriously :-). Everything about Tukwila sucks, even the mall.
The problem that remains is that while from a file system point of view this problem can easily be taken care with said utility, perl script, bash script or any other type of script/program there is a problem that remains: internal file links.

I've been in (many) situations where the team that builds pdf manuals decide to liberally name their files on the mac. Port this manual over to the Windows side and suddenly some of their links break because of the file name change. I've also seen this with Director files and Flash files.

Its too bad that those expensive software programs don't come (by default) enabled in a "compatibility mode" that will yell and scream at an user for using those characters/
I have no idea why the Drobo got popular to begin with. Lets see... a diskless non networkeable device for $500 that makes "RAID fun". Infrant (now Netgear) ReadyNAS goes for the same price diskless but has *far* more features. Now they introduce a NAS addon and once again people are drooling over it... but it adds another $200 to the NAS. For that money I could already have a TB of storage for the Infrant.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
