Is there any way to sign up for Mobile Me online right now?
It didn't go down, it is still in maintenance and isn't scheduled to launch until tomorrow.
Maybe if the actual release was today, which it isn't. Mobile Me officially launches tomorrow.
So you can sign up for Mobile Me online, when it's actually working of course, and don't have to wait to buy it in store?

I couldn't find a sign up anywhere.
Bummer that Konami was put in that position, but it's pretty cool to see a company that still has reality in check. Very classy move by them, but sucks for all the huge MGS4 fans in Japan. Oh well, they get to play non stop...well they probably already are!

What the hell are people complaining about? The songs are already $.99, what do you want them to do, give them away?

They don't just give discounts on random songs either, when they sell full albums they are generally discounted a bit. This isn't an album. Find something worth complaining about.
84 is a sucky game?

It sounds to me like you will either like or dislike this game, much like a Metal Gear Solid. It's a genre that isn't for everyone, which is exactly why it's a risk.
I think this is one of the big issues with reviews these days. A perfect score should be the 'standard' of current gaming. So if say a game is given a 10/10 that is what would basically be as good as it gets for now and that has nothing to do with perfect. Absolutely no gave ever will be perfect, everyone has their differences. So basically giving it a perfect score should represent that it sets todays standards and afterwards new games should basically be judged against it. At least in my book, but that's not how most see it.

What I don't understand is how FPS games continue to get such greats scores. Sure there are some great ones, Call of Duty 4 and BioShock come to mind. Neither really do anything new though, they are just really good, updated shooters. One thing that all of these reviews seem to ignore is the fact that Ubisoft is in fact trying to advance games with this game and not recognizing that is pretty lame. Even if the game isn't as great as it could be, at least they are trying to advance and not just make 'another FPS'. If you can't give them credit for that then I don't know what to say. Certainly Halo 3 doesn't do that, even if you think it's the best game ever made. It looks like there will be a few games this year that push the boundaries, hopefully people will embrace it and it will entice studios to take a few more risks.
Apple products don't have product keys. A license is a piece of paper that says you can install Leopard or whatever product you buy. So it's basically just a piece of mind purchase. You could buy a single user pack and install it on 100 computers if you wanted, obviously illegally.

Sharing it with your sister doesn't really count, unless she lives with you. Family consists of a home, not an actual family spread out across the country. If you read the Apple site where you can order Leopard it clearly says how they define a family.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
