It's not really that impressive to be smaller than a MacBook Air. The MacBook Air isn't small, it's just thin.
why not?
In 1997, with both people who still use FM radio.
It's only said to be limited to 10,000' because that's where it stops becoming worthwhile to test above. HDDs don't operate well at high altitude because they depend on air to keep the head from making contact with the platters, and at higher altitudes where this cushion cannot be created by the rotation of the disk, it can lead to decreased life of the drive.

The iPod nano Gen 1 has a similar "limit" on it, and I've made skydives from 24,000 feet above sea level with no issues. If Apple had to waste their time testing to higher altitudes, the price would reflect said time wasting.

As for commercial airliners, they are generally pressured to an equiv of ~5,000MSL ± a couple thousand, in my experience. When it comes to the wifi, there's a simple solution: You power off the 802.11 in software, just like every Apple product that's ever had 802.11 functionality, starting back in the year 2000 or so.
I can has gadget?
Call me outdated, but I'm replaying Final Fantasy IV…
There are several points in your post that I'd question. To say that the PS3 doesn't have any console-selling games is probably the most obvious of these. Gran Turismo will sell consoles. Metal Gear Solid will likely sell consoles. Final Fantasy will also likely sell consoles.

Unfortunately, none of these are out yet.

As for Blu-Ray looking "awful" on any TV except for a Sony, the lack of clarity in your statement makes it rather dubious. Sony LCDs? Sony LCoS? Sony RPLCD? All of the above? Furthermore, you should substantiate your claims with some sort of objective facts.

I'm not arguing the point one way or the other, since I'm not going to get into the BRD vs HD-DVD pissing match. I hate both formats and their backers for acting like petulant children and doing nothing except hurt the consumers.
I can't speak for others, btu the reason I need HDMI is to get surround sound. I've only got a pair of optical inputs on my receiver, one of which is being used by my computer, so the best solution for me is to plug 360 & PS3 into the TV via HDMI, then use the TV's optical out to pass through the audio back to the receiver, instead of having to dink with swapping cables around whenever I want to use a different audio source.
Meanwhile, still no release date for the Elite in Australia, and no price drops. Wheeeee....
The scene where the ships are breaking up on the rocks is pretty sweet.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
